Danny MacKillop, a “homeless drug addict” in Toronto found $40 and returned it to the person who had left it–a police officer. The Constable posted the story on Facebook, which was seen by Danny’s mom in Vancouver. She flew in, found Danny on Yonge Street. Now he is at the Together We Can treatment centre in Vancouver.

Danny MacKillop has been in rehab for a month in Vancouver after a series of events that led him to reconnect with his mother.

Danny’s sponsor is philosophical, “Sometimes, the universe gives you some signs that you just have to follow,” he said, “and I think when you trust a process like this, you’re always going to be walking in the light. It’s been beautiful.”

“Now that my sponsor is taking me through the steps, something magical is happening,” he said. “I can’t explain it, but something is really going on, for the good.”

“It’s been amazing,” said Danny.. “I feel great. Every day, I can look into the mirror and I like what I see.”
