Previously, many Canadians may have had difficulty obtaining information on what quality care for addiction and substance use disorders looks like, and how to gain access to it.
The Canadian Centre on Substance Use and Addiction (CCSA) and the Canadian Executive Council on Addictions (CECA) developed this guide to raise awareness about treatment options and to offer guidance to Canadians seeking treatment.
The guide covers:
- When to seek treatment
- How to plan your treatment
- Continuing care options
- Questions to ask before treatment
- Who to contact to get help
CCSA and CECA recently launched a new website called www.findingcare.ca, designed to ensure the guide can be shared, found and used easily.
