St. Raphael Wellness Centre (SRWC) launched its new website today, creating a stronger online presence for our long-established charity, and ensuring greater awareness of our programs for those looking for support in recovering from addiction.
SRWC’s previous site, familiar to many in the addiction recovery field, was beginning to show its age. Colleen Allan, SRWC’s Executive Director, states, “Making it easy for individuals and families affected by addiction to learn more about how we can support them was central to our efforts in developing a fresh design and new content.”
The new site was designed to reflect SRWC—a welcoming, friendly space where those at different stages of recovery can find the support they need.
The site is also a resource for professionals looking to refer clients, “that’s why we included really concise program information that would provide an at-a-glance overview of each program. Individuals can now easily determine if our programs might be a good fit for their Participants”, says Marlee, SRWC’s Intake Counsellor.
The new Events calendar feature will be a welcome addition to the page, keeping potential and current Participants, families and supports up-to-date with all that is happening at SRWC.
“We’re now really proud to direct people to our website”, says Colleen, “and we look forward to hearing their feedback on it so we can continue to develop content that meets their needs.”
SRWC embraces the Continuum of Recovery Model – helping individuals as they transition through the different phases of the recovery journey. This means we can help people at every stage of change, with programs that include ready-to-change information sessions, pre and post rehabilitation education and support groups, as well as resources for families, managing difficult emotions and maintaining recovery on the job.
