Winnipegers are organizing a special Recovery Day event on September 21!
SRWC has been providing support and guidance to the creators of this grassroots-driven event. This makes it the first time Winnipeg has been a part of the cross-Canada Recovery Month (See Faces and Voices of Recovery for more info for other events in Canada).
This event will be held at the Millennium Library Park, 10 am – 2 pm , and will features speaker and performers.
Through Recovery Day, the vision is to celebrate recovery from substance use and addiction, help end the societal stigma, and to offer hope, understanding and support for those individuals and families still affected by substance use.
